Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Alex Sopala is a heavy metal guitarist with expertise in audio engineering, mixing, songwriting, and orchestrating. Alex graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a Bachelor of Music in Music Production and Engineering and a minor in Music Technology. He has written, recorded, mixed, and mastered original material as well as projects from other artists.
Alex has played at Milwaukee Summerfest, has performed with musicians such as “Metal” Mike Chlasciak of Halford and Testament, Jason McMaster of Dangerous Toys and Watchtower, Daniel Peters of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages”, Michael Lepond of Symphony X, and reggae artist Ferron “Tjax” Maleki. In 2016, he played lead guitar at Taste of Chicago for featured performer Isaiah Grass, and played guitar in the recording of his single, “This Is Not a Love Song”. He is currently the lead guitarist of New York City-based punk/metal band Toxic Tito, and has mixed and mastered their albums Bestia, Punk Party, and Revved Up.
